In this small Bresse village, already mentioned at the end of the 9th century, the names of the scattered hamlets tell the story. "Broguet" and "Colombier" each house a Saracen chimney (comments outside); "Poype" preserves the earthen mounds built around 1066. The rural church, surrounded by its cemetery, is a rare sight as it is built of half-timbering (visit). Between small roads and grassy paths, the landscapes evoke the breeding of Bresse poultry, corn cultivation, ponds and hedges. Tasty storytelling and instructive nature stops (with France Nature Environnement) punctuate the decidedly bucolic route (4, 5 km). A complete immersion in the identity of the Bresse region, with its history and anecdotes. In partnership with Saint-Sulpice town council.
