Dendrochronological analyses show that the house was built in 1450, 1517-1518 and underwent several alterations in 1780. The chimney and roof were listed in 1944, and the whole farmhouse in 1974.
Beautifully flowered in fine weather, it is still in business today (Charolais cattle, pond fishing and tourist accommodation = gîte and chambres d'hôtes).
Inhabited until the mid-70s, it still has an open-air fireplace and period furniture (19th c. or even earlier), in particular an imposing archebanc (ancestral bench) with storage and a table. Also on display are a salt chair, a four-poster bed, tables and benches for meals, a tourti (bread ladder), a sink stone, a chest...
In the old rooms, a presentation of the farm from 1932 to the present day, with a few tools and photos showing the evolution of farming techniques, but also the philosophy that has always prevailed on this farm over the three generations that have succeeded one another: the quest for quality.
The eco-museum can be visited daily. Guided tours available on request.
