A silk scarf is a product of various professions and areas of expertise. At Silk in Lyon, you can discover the various steps in the production of this precious silk fabric, alongside companies and students working in the textiles industry. From raising silk worms to weaving, design and printing, this educational trail, covering six key stages, is fun and fascinating.

Meet professionals, manufacturers of silk articles and fabrics, fabric designers and creators presenting their 100% made-in-France silk fabrics and products.

This major event includes exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops for children and adults, and products for sale.

SILK IN LYON has laid on a unique cultural programme with silk as the common thread.
Industrial and historic heritage, culture, scientific approaches and innovations, and variations on silk are all to be discovered in the activities organised for you.
Discover every step of the manufacturing process of precious silk fabric in the skills demonstration area.

SILK IN LYON presents an informative and, for some workshops, participatory visitor tour providing a full and concrete overview of the silk industry through 6 key stages: sericulture (silkworm breeding), unwinding and reeling, weaving, pattern design, printing and finishing.

Reduced price: 6 to 14 €, 1 day pass: 7 €, 4 days pass: 15 €.
