Along the trail, you'll discover the history of this natural masterpiece with the help of interpretation panels. You'll see the old quarry and the remains of a medieval village with its castle.

Discovering the Rocher de Brion for the first time is a revelation. An archaeological and geological site with a rare wealth of botanical treasures, it fascinates visitors with the combination of all these different and complementary heritages. You will walk through the remains of a medieval village created in the heart of an ancient volcano.

Recent archaeological digs have revealed a few things, but have also left many mysteries unanswered... enough to arouse your curiosity! You'll go from surprise to surprise, from the ramparts built of basalt organs to the summit of the Rocher, offering a fantastic view of the Eyrieux valley to the north, the Château de Rochebonne just in front of you, and the Ardèche mountains.
