Maison Pierre de Richard
, rue de l'Hôtel de Ville
Pierre de Richard - vice-senechal of Crest in the last quarter of the 17th century - is the first mentioned owner of this townhouse, which was probably built in the 15th century.
Extending well beyond the street line, it seems to have been preserved as a precious witness to the architecture of a bygone era.
The first floor features two side-by-side bays with semicircular arches supported by a central pillar. On the right, the entrance door precedes a small low-arched bay, followed by a small window. The carriage entrance on the far left leads to the apartments.
The whole forms a continuous series of storefronts suitable for displaying objects; this is how the hardware trade has been run by successive owners for over a century, a unique fact in the annals of the profession.
